About the Award

In late 2017, the City of Fort Collins, Colorado became the first Alliance for Innovation member and one of only three local governments in the past 30 years to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, “a Presidential-level honor celebrating that recognizes sustainable excellence through visionary leadership, organizational alignment, systemic improvement and innovation. The award is the highest honor a municipal organization can achieve for performance excellence in innovation, efficiency and leadership.
