Overview

Societal changes, new technologies and generational shifts are challenging for traditional top-down leadership. Learn how to use Facilitative Leadership to better engage your team.

Societal changes, new technologies and generational shifts are challenging the effectiveness of traditional top-down leadership in communities, organizations and industries. Facilitative Leadership is an ideal method to engage teams and community partners during these times of transformational change.

A flexible leadership style combined with a structured facilitation process creates a powerful combination that can empower your team, your work and your life. This workshop will deepen your knowledge of how to lead in a more collaborative way, including:

  • Increase your self-awareness as a leader
  • Focus conversations to achieve best outcomes
  • Guide teams toward consensus and action
  • Engage community members in constructive and collaborative solutions
  • Leverage facilitation for innovation

These skills can be put to use by staff members at all levels and for both internal and external conversations. Alliance for Innovation Ambassadors will especially find that facilitation skills can help maximize organizational resources and idea management.
