Question

Seagull Management

  0
Darrell Hofland

Over the past few years, the population of seagulls has grown. Results are negative impacts to water quality at local beaches and complaints from property owners of littered rooftops.

I would like to learn of other communities' strategies on managing or minimizing the seagulls' negative impact to a lakefront community.

Hi Darrell,
Below are two guides to managing seagulls in your community:

  1. http://news.national..

  2. https://www.cornwall..

Hopefully these guides can help you and your community!

State College, PA had issues with birds in parking garages and ended up using slinkies to keep the birds from perching. I don't believe they are still using them, but it was an interesting way to deal with an issue.
