General Open Space Management Plan

InnovationAlliance for Innovation Recommended

by City of Rocklin, CA for the Alliance for Innovation

The City of Rocklin (City) has nearly 600 acres of open space holdings that are managed as biological/open space preserves. The City, with the help of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), consolidated existing preserves by establishing a General Open Space Management Plan (GOSMP) for the management of the open space holdings established via the Corps permitting process. The GOSMP expedites the dedication of open space preserves and eliminates the need for the development community to establish costly endowment funds during the land development process, while providing a consistent plan by which these preserves will be managed in perpetuity
