Welcome to the Alliance for Innovation Job Center brought to you in partnership with ICMA.  The Alliance and ICMA have built the premier Job Center for local government job postings in North America.  Whether you are a seeking a local government job or wish to post your jobs to a wide network of local government professionals, our combined Job Center is the best place to gain maximum exposure.

The Job Center platform is shared among the Alliance and ICMA to take full advantage of traffic from two of the leading associations in our industry. Your job postings will have exposure to both organizations within our publications and across our web sites.

Alliance members receive exclusive benefits by placing your postings through the Alliance web site at transformgov.org including exposure in the bi-monthly Alliance Job Center electronic newsletter. Most importantly, all job postings at the Professional/Staff, intern or fellow level are FREE to post for Alliance members when posted through transformgov.org.  This means that you are only paying to post jobs at the CAO, Deputy CAO and Senior Manager/Department Head Level (see Ad Rates for descriptions). To receive the discount, log in to your transformgov.org (same as your icma.org) account and post your opening here. The discount will be automatically applied when you complete your job posting and checkout -- a coupon code is no longer required! If you do not receive the discount or encounter any difficulties contact us at support@transformgov.org.

Job Posting Benefits:

  • Discounted pricing for Alliance members.  Discounts apply to any staff member who is from an Alliance member organization.
  • Automatic posting on transformgov.org and icma.org.
  • Inclusion in bi-monthly Alliance for Innovation Job Center electronic newsletter.
  • Tagging your listing to a Knowledge Network topic that allows your job ad to display next to content relevant to the position on the Alliance and ICMA sites.

Ad Rates

When you post a job in the Job Center, your ad will appear on both the Alliance and ICMA web sites. Ads remain live on the Job Center for 60 days, and can be removed by the advertiser if your recruitment closes or is satisfied.  Alliance members can post Professional/Staff, intern or fellow level jobs FREE of charge. Recognizing that CAO and Deputy CAO recruiting can take time, these postings can be renewed for an additional 60 days or as needed.
