Next Big Things: Disruptive Technology
Are you Future Ready?
What might our cities and counties look like in 2036? Results from the recently completed research from the Alliance for Innovation on the “The Next Big Things” impacting local government will inform you of the four forces and trends that should be on your radar with a specific focus on technology trends. Just as water is the driving force of all life, access to technology is quickly becoming the driving force of our local, national and global landscape.
The Alliance for Innovation connects innovative and successful local governments in robust communities of practice and shares new research and resources. During this session you will learn from Nijah Fudge, West Regional Director at the Alliance for Innovation, how communities from across the country are addressing future technology trends around these key areas:
- Planning, funding and deploying technology services to meet the existing and future needs of our communities where are you getting the funding info from?
- Educating our communities about the imperative to make technologies deployment and equitable access a priority
- The Changing political landscape to address the industries and regulations standing in our way are you really addressing the political landscape and providing examples of industries and regulations that will be opposing these changes?
