Living in Washington D.C for two weeks gives me the perspective of a strong collaborative process in infrastructure development. One of the example is the initiative for the 11th Street Bridge Park that involve many entities from federal level to neighborhoods level. The bridge that will connect west and east part of D.C equipped by healthy recreation, environmental education, and the arts facilities. The bridge that is not built for transportation moda but for community recreation. The bridge that will give a new perspective on how a bridge can be a fun place for community development.

there's something about dc unlike any other cosmopolitan cities i've visited. it's too modest to be the capital of world's largest economy. it doesn't scream skyscrapers all over. the mid-rise vibe with an unobstructed view of the skies is one of its many charms. thanks to the presence of the washington monument, making it the tallest structure in the city. there has to be some pros and cons for maintaining that order in its land use plan. but it's sort of working for visitors like me. i have been familiar with the capital because it is where the seat
