Alliance for Innovation Ambassadors


About the Alliance for Innovation Ambassador Program

Alliance Ambassadors are the proponents of innovation within and throughout your organization and profession.  We work diligently to provide Ambassadors with opportunities to grow their innovation skills through unique learning opportunities and specialized programming.   

The Alliance for Innovation Ambassador Program is meant to increase overall awareness and engagement of your organization in Alliance activities, ultimately providing member communities with quick access to thousands of case studies, best practices, policies, procedures, resolutions and programs.

Roles & Responsibilities of Ambassador(s)

  • Serve as the main point of contact with your assigned Regional Director to distribute Alliance information and encourage active engagement in Alliance activities, events and learning opportunities throughout your organization.  
  • Share your success stories and innovative practices with your Regional Director so they can share and promote your projects, programs, services and publications throughout our entire membership.  
  • Work with your Regional Director to stay informed and current with Alliance resources. 
  • Participate in building content in targeted areas and provide feedback as requested.  
  • Be a proponent of innovation. Build your organization’s innovation skills and become an Alliance Ambassador.

As an Alliance Ambassador you receive special attention...

  • Monthly email communications featuring interviews with well-respected local government professionals, innovation tips and strategies to succeed in local government.  
  • Access to Ambassador Discovery Zone which includes book recommendations, reviews, and discussion with peers.  
  • Resources to help promote innovation in your organization.  
  • Access to the Ambassador Group in the Knowledge Network to exchange information and ideas.
  • Access to other Ambassadors as a special network of the Alliance.
  • Quarterly Webinars to provoke thought and build innovation skills.
