The City of Fredericksburg looking for an experienced candidate to support a phased ERP System implementation. The incumbent will be responsible for providing ongoing ERP management support to include planning, installation, configuration, operations, project management, training and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and applications. This position will provide ongoing support for the ERP system after the implementation period.
Under minimal supervision of the Chief Information Officer, this full time permanent position serves as Project Manager for the implementation of the ERP project and is responsible for project schedules, budgets, meeting facilitation, change management and developing documentation for users. Responsible for regular written and verbal project communication, including updates to City leadership as required. Effectively leads diverse groups of stakeholders through a decision making process to reach consensus on process changes. This position will establish and execute an ERP training plan to ensure system team readiness and ensure training metrics are established, monitored, tracked, and analyzed. Troubleshoots system related issues and serves as the liaison with the ERP vendor.
This employee works with all levels of management, external agencies and vendors with varying agendas on enterprise wide systems to achieve City’s strategic goals and objectives. Employee must use leadership and excellent judgment in completing tasks. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in frequent contact with system users.
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, MIS (Management Information Systems) or closely related field; supplemented by three (3) to five (5) years previous experience and/or training that includes computer programming, software configuration, data analysis and design, project management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Prior working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, CAPM/PMP certification, SQL Server Database Administration or software design as well as experience with any of: AS/400, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Tyler Munis, Workday, Superion ONESolution, and/or Tax and CAMA systems is an asset.
