From “BIG Ideas” conference discussion to continuing the conversation in the “BIG Hour” in your own community – July 17th is the BIG day!
The topic of “Digital Disruption” was introduced at the 2016 BIG Ideas Conference and will continue to be a topic of discussion in coming years.
What does that mean? It means that technology is advancing so rapidly and influences our daily lives in so many ways, that local government should be thinking about what it means in terms of preparing for, regulating and USING these amazing resources to interact with and create thriving communities.
Many who were at BIG Ideas want to continue the conversations from that October weekend, and for those who couldn’t be there – we want you to be a part of the conversation too. We've developed the BIG Ideas Toolkit to make it easy for you to join in the conversation and participate in this one day event on July 17.
The BIG Ideas Toolkit was inspired by that weekend’s discussions by some of the top thought leaders in the subject and in local government. It provides very specific guidance on how to facilitate discussions on these important topics with your peers. The “BIG Hour” is set to take place in communities across the country on July 17, 2017. Local governments will host a one-hour discussion focused on a specific topic related to emerging technology’s influence on our society, and discuss how to continue planning in their communities. Sign up for FREE and tell us about your “BIG Hour” event.
Want to follow the nation-wide conversation? Post what your community is doing and hashtag #BIGhour.
