Call it, Text it, Web it or Snap it wherever you are in Plano. The City of Plano is introducing Fix it to empower residents to submit repair requests or share information with the City anytime from Plano anywhere. Fix it Plano is a citizen response management system, created by Public Stuff. It allows residents to Call it, Text it, Web it or Snap it to the city, regardless of City office hours. The toll-free phone number, SMS texting number, Web interface and free mobile app are now available through Plano’s website, www.plano.gov.

Common items that can be reported are potholes, traffic safety issues, high grass/weed complaints, sidewalk or trail repairs, and found pets. A drop-down menu of these items is available through the app and Web interface. The app is designed to work with the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. To “Snap it,” residents submit a snapped photo of the needed repair along with a brief description through the app or the Web. Callers and texters simply provide the location and a brief description of the issue. Repairs will be added to the regular work schedule. An optional tracking feature provides Fix it Plano users with status updates on the repairs they submit.
